The Islamic Jesus

Mr. Mustafa Akyol, a journalist and moderate Muslim. Quoting the write up in the above write up in Christian Science Monitor, “For starters, all three worship the God of Abraham. This is not breaking news, of course, but author Mustafa Akyol makes the most of this and other commonalities.”

The Quran advocates the absolute worship of God alone (“You shall not worship except God”) and for us not to make distinction among God’s Messengers.

The messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the believers. They believe in GOD, His angels, His scripture, and His messengers: “We make no distinction among any of His messengers.” They say, “We hear, and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny.” [Quran 2:285]

This commandment is repeated in three other verses in the Quran.

The message of all messengers of God including Abraham, Jesus and Muhammad was the same – You shall not worship except God; also known as the First Commandment in the Torah, Gospel and the Quran.

The Arabic word “Islam” translates in English language as “Submission” and thus all messengers including Jesus and Muhammad practiced the Religion of Submission to God.

There is no god but God

LA ELLAHA ELLA ALLAH

Millions of muslims all over the world recognize Five Pillars of
Islam (Submission). However, all the Pillars, as practiced by the
muslims of today, are in violation of the Quran. I will examine
only the first pillar.

SHAHAADA – FIRST PILLAR

Verse 3:18 in the Quran states: “God bears witness that there is
no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess
knowledge. He is the absolute God. There is no god except He, the
Almighty, Most Wise.”

The words of “Shahaada” or the First Pillar of Islam are thus
decreed by God in the above verse. “La Elaaha Ella Allah” is
repeated in the Quran numerous times.

Please note that the Shahaada of God, the angels and those who
possess knowledge is “there is no god except He” or “la ellaha
ella allah”.

However, “Shahaada” of muslims all over the world is – “I bear
witness there is no god but He and I bear witness that Muhammad
is the messenger of God.” This “Shahaada” as one statement is not
found anywhere in the Quran.

God has given us the brains, hearing and eyesight and we
commanded to use them. We need to examine the following:

1. The meaning of the word “witness” in the dictionary is; one
personally present; a person who knows or sees anything; that which furnishes evidence or proof; testimony; to see or know by personal presence.

None of us alive today witnessed the messengership of prophet Muhammad.

2. Difference between ‘believe’ and ‘witness’. The meaning of the word “believe” in the dictionary is; to credit upon the ground of authority, testimony, argument or any other circumstances than personal knowledge – v.i. to be more or less firmly persuaded of the truth of anything.

The Quran consistently talks about believers as those who
believe in God and His Messengers. Therefore, the believers,
based on the evidence and proof of the Quran, believe in God
and His Messengers.

Verse 172 of Sura 7 states: “Recall that your Lord summoned all
the descendants of Adam, and had them bear witness for
themselves: ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They all said. ‘Yes, we bear
witness.’ Thus you cannot say on the Day of Resurrection. ‘We
were not aware of this.'”

All of us bore witness that God alone is our Lord.

The statement, “There is no god but God and Muhammad is a
messenger of God” is also incorrect for the following logical
reasons.

1. Muhammad was a messenger of God, just like Jesus, Moses and
other messengers/prophets. They were messengers of God.
Muhammad at the present time is not a messenger of God.
He completed his great mission at his appointed time of
his death.

2. The statement violates the commandment of not making a
distinction amongst God’s messengers which is repeated in
the Quran numerous times.

Verse 285 of Sura 2 states: “The messenger has believed in
what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the
believers. They believe in God, His angels, His scripture,
and His messengers: ‘We make no distinction among any of His
messengers.’ They say, ‘We hear, and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny.'”

3. Verse 144 of sura 3 states: “Muhammad was no more than a
messenger like the messengers before him.”

The first commandment in all of God’s scriptures is the same,
“There is no god but God.” The submitter (muslim) will not
associate anyone next to God.

THE GREAT CRITERION

“When God ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not
believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned besides Him, they become satisfied.” (39:45)

“The only people who truly believe in our revelations are those who
fall prostrate upon hearing them. They glorify and praise their
lord, without any arrogance.” Quran 32:15

“Who is more evil than one who lies about God, or rejects His
revelations? The transgressors never succeed.” 6:21

The religion of Islam (Submission), as practiced by the majority of
muslims (submitters) worldwide, has very little to do with the
religion of Islam (Submission) as dictated in the Quran, the
unaltered, complete word of God, the words of which, came from the
prophet Mohammad’s mouth.

An attempt will be made, God willing, to show that the Muslims have discarded the Quran and have based their religious practices on conjecture rather than the truth in the
Quran.

QURAN – FULLY DETAILED AND ONLY SOURCE OF RELIGIOUS LAW

“..We did not leave anything out of this book..” 6:38

“Say, ‘Whose testimony is the greatest?’ Say, ‘God’s. He is the
witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me,
to preach to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed, you bear witness
that there are other gods beside God.’ Say, ‘I do not testify as
you do; there is only one god, and I disown your idolatry.'”6:19

“Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has
revealed this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture
recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You
shall not harbor any doubt.” 6:114

“The word of your Lord is complete in truth and justice. Nothing
shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.” 6:115

“We have given them a scripture that is fully detailed, with
knowledge, guidance, and mercy for the people who believe.” 7:52

“This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than God. It
confirms all previous messages, and provides a fully detailed
scripture. It is infallible; for it comes from the Lord of the
universe.” 10:37

“In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess
intelligence. This is not a fabricated Hadith; this (Quran)
confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of
everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe.”
12:111

“We place shields around their minds, to prevent them from
understanding it, and deafness in their ears. And when you preach
you Lord, using the Quran alone, they run away in aversion.” 17:46

“You shall recite what is revealed to you of your Lord’s scripture.
Nothing shall abrogate His words, and you shall not find any other
source beside it.” 18:27

“We have cited in this Quran every kind of example, but the human
being is the most argumentative creature.” 18:54

“Say, ‘If the ocean were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean
would run out, before the words of my Lord run out, even if we
double the ink supply.'”
“Say, ‘I am no more than a human like you, being inspired that your
god is one god. Those who hope to meet their Lord shall work
righteousness, and never worship any other god beside his Lord.'”
18:109-110

“We have cited for the people every kind of example in this Quran,
that they may take heed.” 39:27

SUBMITTER (MUSLIM) OR REJECTOR

In United States, where I reside, two parties agree on a binding
contract for both parties by the following procedure. An offer is
made by one party (eg: buyer or seller), in writing, which covers
all aspects of the agreement. It is signed by the first party and
is presented to the other party. The second party has three
choices:

1. Sign the contract WITHOUT making any changes, thus making the
contract binding on both parties. It becomes a legal document with
both parties obligated to the contract.

2. ANY change by the second party on ANY provision of the contract;
any deletion or addition, constitutes a REJECTION and a counter-
offer. The first party can either sign the counter offer or reject
it by making changes.

3. Ignore the offer, in which case the expiration of the time limit
(if any) on the contract constitutes rejection of the offer by the
second party.

The Quranic verses given above make it very clear, that the Quran
is a fully detailed book and should be the only source of religious
law. We have a choice; we either accept God’s assertion that the
Quran is the only source of religious guidance and become a
Submitter (Muslim) or become a Rejector (should we want to add or
delete certain commandments). With no compulsion in religion the
Quran is a written offer to us – to accept it or reject it.

JEWS, CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS FOLLOW FABRICATIONS

A few hundred years after the death of Moses, the jews fabricated
Mishnah and Gemarrah, traditions attributed their prophet. Mishnah
and Gemarrah, jointly called Talmud, is their source of religious
guidance instead of the Old Testament or the Torah, which is the
revealed word of God for them.

Three hundred years after the death of Jesus, the Christians in
Nicene CREATED the concept of trinity. The fabrication of trinity
is the primary source of belief for the majority of christians, in
defiance of the bible which advocates the absolute worship of God
alone.

Two hundred after the death of prophet Mohammad, Bukhary wrote the
first book of Hadith. Today all religious practices of muslims are
in direct violation of the Quran (details to be covered in a future
article), with the source of such religious practices being Hadith
and Sunnah. The following Quranic verses specifically prohibit us
from following any Hadith (narration) other than the Quran.

“Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth,
and all the things God has created? Does it ever occur to them that
the end of their life may be near? Which hadith, besides this do
they believe in?” 7:185

“Most of them follow nothing but conjecture, and conjecture is no
substitute for the truth. God is fully aware of everything they
do.” 10:36

“Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and
thus divert others from the path of God without knowledge, and take
it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.” 31:6

“God has revealed herein the best Hadith; a book that is consistent
and points out both ways (to heaven and hell). The skins of those
who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and
their hearts soften up for God’s message. Such is God’s guidance;
he bestows it upon whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by
God, nothing can guide them.” 39:23

“These are God’s revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In
which hadith other than God and His revelations do they believe?”
45:6

“Let them produce a hadith like this if they are truthful.” 52:34

“Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this Hadith; we will
lead them on whence they never perceive.” 68:44

“Which Hadith other than this do they uphold?” 77:50

Most muslims fail to understand the fact that the Hadith and Sunnah
DID NOT come out of the prophet’s mouth. Hadith and Sunnah are
fabrications created by simple minded individuals and the enemies
of the prophet, who created stories (fabrications) which allege
something took place two hundred years prior to that time.

RELIGIOUS SCHOLARS

The Quran leaves no room for religious scholars and for anyone to
dictate religious laws, simply because the Quran is complete,
perfect, fully detailed and the only source of religious guidance.

“They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords,
instead of God.” 9:31

“Thus were the idol worshipers duped by their idols, to the extent
of killing their own children. In fact, their idols inflict great
pain upon them, and confuse their religion for them. Had God
willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and
their fabrications.” 6:137

A perfect example of the above verse is the internationally
infamous execution of a Saudi Arabian princess in 1978 for alleged
adultery. God’s law in the Quran does not stipulate execution.

WHY DID GOD ALLOW THE FABRICATIONS?

“We have permitted the enemies of every prophet – human and jinn
devils – to inspire in each other fancy words, in order to deceive.
Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall
disregard them and their fabrications.” 6:112

“This is to let the minds of those who do not believe in the
Hereafter listen to such fabrications, and accept them, and thus
expose their real convictions.” 6:113

“If you obey the majority of the people on earth, they will divert
you from the path of God. They follow only conjecture they only
guess.” 6:116

The verses quoted above inform us that fabrications (Mishnah &
Gemarrah; Trinity; Hadith & Sunnah) were allowed to be created by
God’s will; that the disbelievers will ACCEPT such fabrications;
and that the believers will DISREGARD these fabrications.

“Who is more evil than one who is reminded of these revelations of
his Lord, then insists upon disregarding them? We will certainly
punish the guilty.” 32:22

“And when our revelations are recited to the one of them, he turns
away in arrogance as if he never heard them, as if his ears are
deaf. Promise him a painful retribution.” 31:7

ROLE OF PROPHET MOHAMMAD

“This is the utterance of an honorable messenger. Not the utterance
of a poet; rarely do you believe. Nor the utterance of a
soothsayer; rarely do you take heed. A revelation from the Lord of
the universe. Had he uttered ANY OTHER TEACHINGS, we would have
punished him. We would have stopped the revelations to him. None of
you could have helped him.” 69:40-47

“Do not move your tongue to hasten it. It is we who will collect it
into Quran. Once we recite it, you shall FOLLOW such a Quran. THEN
IT IS WE WHO WILL EXPLAIN IT.” 75:16-19

God is informing us in the above verses that prophet Mohammad was
forbidden from issuing any other religious teachings other than
those in the Quran and that he was forbidden from explaining the
Quran.

The prophet’s sole mission was to deliver the Quran, the whole
Quran and nothing but the Quran. All religious practices of Islam
(Submission), came to us through prophet Abraham and practiced by
all believers, messengers and prophets after Abraham. They were
past on generation to generation.

“You shall obey God, and obey the messenger, and beware. If you
turn away, then know that the sole duty of the messenger is to
deliver the message efficiently.” 5:92

“The sole duty of the messenger is to deliver the message..” 5:99,
24:54, 29:18

“…Can the messengers do anything but deliver the complete
message?” 16:35

“You shall obey God and you shall obey the messenger. if you turn
away, then the sole mission of our messenger is to deliver the
message” 64:12

Since prophet Mohammad obviously followed the Quran, he accepted
God’s assertion that the Quran is complete and fully detailed. The
`message’ is the Quran and only the Quran; and obeying the prophet
is upholding what he upheld – that the Quran is complete and fully
detailed.

GOD – TEACHER OF THE QURAN

“Most Gracious. Teacher of the Quran.” 55:1-2

“Then it is we who will explain it” 75:19

One of the first steps towards becoming a submitter (muslim), is to
accept the completeness of the Quran. After becoming a submitter,
the goal is to become a believer (al-mu’minun) when all doubts are
erased and the individual is blessed with certainty. The path to
becoming a believer is trust God and worship God alone within the
confines of the Quran.

“And worship your Lord, in order to attain certainty” 15:99

“I did not create the jinns and the humans except to worship Me
alone.” 52:56

`”The Arabs said,”We are believers.” Say, “You have not believed;
what you should say is, `We are submitters,’ until belief is
established in your hearts.”‘ 49:14

“And put your trust in the Almighty, Most merciful.” 26:217

“Therefore put your trust in God; you are following the manifest
truth.” 27:79

“No human being can communicate with God except through
inspiration, or from behind a barrier, or by sending a messenger
through whom He reveals what He wills. He is the Most High, Most
Wise.” 43:51

Being a submitter (muslim) mandates upon us that we (as
individuals) accept God’s assertion that the Quran is complete,
fully detailed, the only source of religious guidance; that God
will explain the Quran to us, that we trust God and that
explanation may come through inspiration.


First Commandment

The Arabic Islam translates into English as Submission, the Arabic word Muslim as Submitter and Allah as God.

FIRST COMMANDMENT

The first commandment – you shall not worship except God – is the unifying aspect of all religions. Unfortunately, the majority of humans including those who claim to be religiously enlightened are unaware of this commandment. The unawareness of this commandment is the source of deep divisions and conflicts amongst religions and within themselves.

The Most Important Commandment*

[3:18] GOD bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise.

*3:18 The proclamation of faith (Shahaadah) that is decreed by God is: “There is no god except God,” in Arabic “La Elaaha Ella Allah” (see also 37:35, 47:19). The corrupted Muslims insist upon adding a second “Shahaadah” proclaiming that Muhammad is God’s messenger. This is by definition “Shirk” (idolatry) and a flagrant defiance of God and His messenger. Additionally, it violates the major commandments in 2:136, 2:285, 3:84, & 4:150-152 prohibiting any distinction among God’s messengers. By proclaiming that “Muhammad is a messenger of God,” and failing to make the same proclamation for other messengers such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Saleh, and Jonah, a distinction is committed and a major commandment is violated.

[Mathew 22:36-38] “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “You shall love the lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind. This is the greatest and and the first commandment.”

Footnote: 22,37-38: Cf Dt6,5. Mathew omits the first part of Mk’s fuller quotation (12,29; Dt6,4-5), probably because he considered its monotheistic emphasis needless for his church..

Jesus had said (full quotation), “You shall worship my lord and your lord, my God and your God…”

[34:53] They have rejected it in the past; they have decided instead to uphold conjecture and guesswork.*

*34:53 People of all religions tend to forsake the word of God and uphold the words of men. The Jews and the Muslims uphold the Mishnah (Hadith) and Gemarrah (Sunnah), while the Christians uphold a trinity invented by the Nicene Conference, 325 years after Jesus.

CHRISTIANS

Instead of following the Gospel and worshipping God alone as preached by Jesus, the majority of the Christians uphold the Nicene Creed fabricated 300+ years after the death of Jesus.

Trinity, the doctrine of God taught by Christians that asserts that God is one in essence but three in “person,” Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: “Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one” (Deut. 6:4). JEWS

Instead of following the Torah, the revealed word of God, the majority of Jews follow Mishnah and Gemarrah written by humans years after the revelation of the Torah. Thus the majority of Jews are following other than God’s law in the Torah.

MUSLIMS

The majority of Muslims little idea about what the Quran states or advocates. Instead of the Quran they follow Hadith and Sunnah written by humans 250+ years after the death of prophet Mohammad and the revelation of the Quran.

“This is GOD’s eternal system (Sunnah), and you will find that
GOD’s system (Sunnah) is unchangeable.” 33:62 & 48:23

Upholding the Teachings of Religious Leaders instead of God’s Teachings

[9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords,* instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

*9:31 If you consult the “Muslim scholars” about worshiping God alone, and upholding the word of God alone, as taught in this proven scripture, they will advise you against it. If you consult the Pope about the identity of Jesus, he will advise you to uphold a trinity. If you obey the “Muslim scholars” whose advice is contrary to God’s teachings, or if you take the Pope’s advice instead of God’s, you have set up these religious leaders as gods instead of God.
