Khalifa on earth

Recall that your Lord said to the angels, "I am placing a representative (a temporary god) on Earth." They said, "Will You place therein one who will spread evil therein and shed blood, while we sing Your praises, glorify You, and uphold Your absolute authority?" He said, "I know what you do not know." 2:30

Out of nine verses with the word Khalifatan, Khalaifa, Khulafaa – 2:30, 6:165, 7:69, 7:74, 10:14, 10:73, 27:62, 38:26, 35:39; only two refer to Vice-ge-rent in 2:30 and 38:26.

The rest of the verses refer to successor or inheritor.

[38:26] O David, we have made you a ruler on earth. Therefore, you shall judge among the people equitably, and do not follow your personal opinion, lest it diverts you from the way of GOD. Surely, those who stray off the way of GOD incur severe retribution for forgetting the Day of Reckoning.

MOSES DELEGATES TO AARON

We summoned Moses for thirty nights, and completed them by adding ten. Thus, the audience with is Lord lasted forty nights. Moses said to his brother Aaron, "Stay (ukh'luf'nī) here with my people, maintain righteousness, and do not follow the ways of the corruptors." 7:142

SATAN GIVEN RESPITE

[38:67] Say, "Here is awesome news.
[38:68] "That you are totally oblivious to.
[38:69] "I had no knowledge previously, about the feud in the High Society.
[38:70] "I am inspired that my sole mission is to deliver the warnings to you."
[38:71] Your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from clay.
[38:72] "Once I design him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him."
[38:73] The angels fell prostrate, all of them,
[38:74] except Satan; he refused, and was too arrogant, unappreciative.
[38:75] He said, "O Satan, what prevented you from prostrating before what I created with My hands? Are you too arrogant? Have you rebelled?"
[38:76] He said, "I am better than he; You created me from fire, and created him from clay."[38:77] He said, "Therefore, you must be exiled, you will be banished.
[38:78] "You have incurred My condemnation until the Day of Judgment."
[38:79] He said, "My Lord, respite me till the Day of Resurrection."
[38:80] He said, "You are respited.
[38:81] "Until the appointed day."
[38:82] He said, "I swear by Your majesty, that I will send them all astray.
[38:83] "Except Your worshipers who are devoted absolutely to You alone."
[38:84] He said, "This is the truth, and the truth is all that I utter.

SATAN IN BIBLE

Isaiah 14:13-14 You said in your heart,

“I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.[b] I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

SATAN’S OFFER TO JESUS

Mathew 4:8-10, Luke 4:5-8

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”

7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’[e]”

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted[a] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’[b]”

5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 If you worship me, it will all be yours.”

8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’[c]”

Adam was a human being. Adam, like all humans and jinns die, therefore ‘Will You place therein one who will spread evil therein and shed blood, while we sing Your praises, glorify You, and uphold Your absolute authority’ will not apply to Adam.

Representative (a temporary god) in 2:30 can only be Satan as was given a respite until the Day of Judgement.
